Kristen Stewart Cheating: Is She Worse Than Ryan Dempster?

Kristen Stewart cheated on heartthrob boyfriend Robert Pattinson of the Twilight movie series, but is she worse than Ryan Dempster, who vetoed a trade to the Atlanta Braves from the Chicago Cubs?

I only know of Kristen Stewart because of the terrible night my ex-girlfriend and I watched Twilight on HBO, but I’ve known of Ryan Dempster since his days as a mediocre closer for the Chicago Cubs on one of my first fantasy baseball teams. The parallels between their careers are disturbing. Both have risen to incredible heights, seemingly out of nowhere. Kristen Stewart is the star of Twilight, a terrible, yet insanely profitable movie series characterized by horrible acting and good looking creature-men, of which Stewart is dating the best looking one. Ryan Dempster is the star of the Chicago Cubs, a roster characterized by a history of disappointment and horrible baseball players, of which Dempster seems to be the most valuable. Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson and was caught making out with another man. Ryan Dempster vetoed a trade to the Atlanta Braves who are currently fighting for a playoff spot in the NL East. Who is the worse person?

Kristen Stewart creeps me out and that’s probably why she does such a great job dating a vampire. This undeserved sense of superiority that led her to cheat on Robert Pattinson is quite confusing. Kristen Stewart isn’t all that good looking and has the personality of a dreary Seattle day, minus the space needle. What’s more, her celebrity stems from her mediocre-at-best acting in a mythical movie series that falls well short of Harry Potter – just saying. Stewart is somehow dating Robert Pattinson despite her average looks and lack of talent or personality, but her undeserved status as a superstar vampire-damsel has clouded her judgement. As she loses touch with any sense of humility, is there any hope for Kristen Stewart?

At least Ryan Dempster deserves his chance to veto a trade, a right he earned through the longevity of his career. However, Dempster’s betrayal of the Chicago Cubs may prove to cripple the franchise at the trading deadline as they struggle to rebuild. Ryan Dempster told the Chicago Cubs he’d be willing to be traded and waive his 10-5 no-trade clause if it would help the team. The Cubs found a fantastic trade for Dempster that would send him to a contender in the Atlanta Braves while he was having the season of his life. Dempster inexplicably vetoed the trade – apparently because it was leaked on Twitter, much in the same way Kristen Stewart’s misdeeds were leaked through the media. Now the Cubs are without leverage as they try to move the ace pitcher that no longer fits into their plans to rebuild. This betrayal may sting more than making out with your director in public places – Ryan Dempster has screwed the Chicago Cubs.

Dempster earned the right to remain with a team and city he’s grown comfortable with, but the fashion he did it in is just as horrible as what Kristen Stewart did. However, Ryan Dempster is a somewhat useful human being. Kristen Stewart is just awful, and her heartbreaking betrayal of the man she supposedly loved is worse than anything Ryan Dempster could have done. The Chicago Cubs are already used to heartbreak and disappointment, but Robert Pattinson and his naive, trusting heart certainly did not deserve this from his pale, pedestrian-looking girlfriend.
