Video: Sergeant William Stacey Tribute
Twelve hundred people filled the largest auditorium on the University of Washington’s campus on Saturday for a memorial in honor of Sgt. William Stacey, who was killed two weeks ago in Afghanistan, and who I was embedded with for a time while I was there. Alex Kirkwood, the brother of Kimmy Kirkwood, Will’s longtime girlfriend, created this video to celebrate Will’s life. It’s absurdly beautiful, but you don’t need me to tell you that.
