Lou Dobbs, who recently left CNN, told Fred Thompson that he is considering running for president in 2012. Dobbs added: “I’m going to be talking some more with some folks who want me to listen.”

Thompson didn’t ask him if he would seek the nomination of either of the two major parties, but one could safely assume he won’t run as a Democrat. Dobbs has said his currently an independent.
