Twitter Responses to Brittany Murphey Death

Brittany Murphy, also known as Tai from Clueless, passed away on Sunday (today), reportedly after a heart attack in her LA Home. The National Post reports:

Actress Brittany Murphy, who starred in such films as “Just Married” and “8 Mile” but suffered waning fortunes in recent years, died on Sunday, officials said. She was 32.

Murphy was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills after reportedly going into cardiac arrest at her home in West Hollywood.

Online gossip site TMZ said her mother, Sharon, discovered Murphy unconscious in the shower. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it responded to an emergency call about 8 a.m. PST.

Brittany Murphy was the frumpy girl in Clueless who would eventually be the hot girl in 8 mile. I honestly always admired Brittany Murphy for starting out in an unattractive role then somehow, years later, coming out of the woodwork as a hottie dating Ashton Kutcher. Kutcher, Murphy’s ex-boyfriend and “Just Married” co-star actually tweeted: “”2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband and her amazing mother Sharon.” Never how mind how weird it is that during an incredibly private time, an ex would think it okay to tweet, he couldn’t even spell out “to” on his smartphone? There’s also the unsettling worry that it was some assistant tweeted this away for him.

Nonetheless, Kutcher was not the only celebrity to address Murphy’s death on their twitters. Here are a list of awkward celebrity twitter responses (some of whom don’t even spell Brittany Murphy’s name quite right):
