UPDATED: Kanye Apologizes on Leno (Video), Obama Says He’s a “Jackass”

Kanye West’s original apology from his blog (see our previous post) is still MIA, but it’s been replaced by a shorter blurb (and, weirdly, pictures of spray-cans and glass sculpture):

In the meantime, the singer gave a heartfelt apology on “The Jay Leno Show” tonight. Leno asked Kanye what his mother would have thought of what he’d done, prompting a long moment of silence during which West appeared to cover his face to hide tears:

But over at “Much on Demand”, 50 Cent wasn’t having any of it. Says Fiddy:

I wish he would would take one of my awards, I would black his eye in front of everybody… You pick and choose who you feel safe doing that with, though, to be honest. Like, he shouldn’t worry about me, Pink was gonna get to him!
