Rihanna Makes Irish Farmer Uncomfortable, Forced to Stop Filming

A Northern Irish farmer has halted the filming of Rihanna’s new music video for “We Found Love.” According to Gawker, while filming a music video in a field in County Down, Ireland, Rihanna was asked to stop by the farmer who owns the field. The farmer, named Alan Graham, reportedly told the BBC that he “wishes no ill-will against Rihanna and her friends,” and that he hopes they can “acquaint themselves with a greater God.” Wait, what?

61-year-old Graham, who happens to be an alderman of the country’s largest Protestant party known as the Democratic Unionist Party, explained that he had no idea who Rihanna was when he agreed to let her film a video on his farm: “I didn’t know who was coming. If the name ‘Rihanna’ had been mentioned, well, no disrespect but it wouldn’t have meant anything.”

When questioned further as to why Graham asked the filming to stop, he was oddly unspecific about being bothered by some aspect of Rihanna’s presence. He did seem to hint, however, that she was, at one point, completely topless, which made him uncomfortable. “’The state of undress was becoming inappropriate,’ Graham explained. “I requested that they stop filming and they did.”

Rihanna reportedly resumed filming in another location. She will continue to stay in Ireland as she has a series of sold-out shows later this week in Belfast.
