Jersey Shore Update: New Ad Campaign, MTV’s Zero-Tolerance Policy For Deserters
A new ad campaign for season 4 of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ features guidofied mashups of classic Italian masterpieces such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam in an attempt to demonstrate visually the havoc the cast undoubtedly wreaked on Italian culture during filming there. The Mona Lisa is given “Snooki shades” while Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam now features God giving Adam a bro-friendly fist-pound. The entire cast identified Michelangelo as “the orange turtle, right?”
Meanwhile, MTV has instituted a new zero-tolerance policy for runaway cast members, following Vinny’s recent (temporary) exodus as well as The Situation’s threats to bail on the show. If another cast member tries to leave the show MTV claims that they will be fired, with the rest of their contract terminated, reports TMZ. Season 4 of ‘Jersey Shore’ premieres August 4th.
